An Updater, what's that?
The sad fact of being a travel publisher is that guide books are pretty much out of date before they reach the book stores. So our task as publishers is to try and make the content as fresh as possible. Our solution is to give you access to the guides online (once you've bought a copy of course) and pay a well placed and well regarded journalist/journalists in each of our cities to send us news of worthwhile new openings, the odd closure and the occasional mistake. These are our updaters and they keep you and us abreast of what's hot and what's not.

Angeles Cortesi - Hg2 Buenos Aires
Angeles is 100% porteña (as people from BA are called). She studied Business Administration in Paris, but after tasting corporate life for a few years she decided to be loyal to her bon vivant spirit and make a life out of it. Since then, she has worked as a freelance journalist for On The Road Travel and founded Sangre Travel Design for those curious souls that want to experience the best of Buenos Aires. Angeles has mastered Argentina's wine world and is an endless hunter for the best gourmet experiences in the city.
Fleur Britten - Hg2 London
Fleur is a features journalist based in London, specialising in lifestyle, fashion, culture and the arts. Having graduated from Edinburgh University she was serendipitously placed as an intern at British Vogue, which forged an unplanned speciality in fashion. She then went on to work as a stylist and scriptwriter for BBC¹s 'Looking Good¹ and Channel 4¹s 'She¹s Gotta Have It¹.
Moving to the Sunday Telegraph Magazine as the staff fashion and beauty writer, Fleur had a weekly fashion page and an opportunity to write fashion features on trends, fashion designers and photographers. In June 2004 she left to go freelance, writing pieces for the International Herald Tribune and glossies, including Vogue China, where she became Deputy Beauty Editor.Since researching and writing 'A Hedonist's Guide to Milan', and more recently editing "A Hedonist's guide to London', she has settled into another desk job this time at the Sunday Times Style Magazine as Commissioning Editor. Although her wanderlust lingers on.

Malcolm Moore - Hg2 Rome
Malcolm Moore is the Daily Telegraph's Rome Correspondent and has lived in Italy for two years. Previously he spent several years eating sandwiches at his desk and typing with one hand. Now he mostly gossips and drinks coffee.
Nils Peters - Hg2 Berlin
Nils Peters studied art history at the University of Hamburg, architecture at TFH Berlin, and urban sociology at Columbia University in New York. He has taught, published, and exhibited on the subject of architecture and has had his own practice since 1998 in Berlin.
Simone Muzza - Hg2 Milan
Born in Milan in June 1978, Simone Muzza aka Simo “Pastu” (pasturare, in the italian slang, means party man, a person that enjoys the night life, meeting people, talking about nonsense...) is the man who's got always the answer to the question “What's up tonight?”, for what regards Milan and Italy nightlife. Free lance journalist, he works for Zero2 (Edizioni Zero), the first and best free press magazine in Italy, where he writes about clubs, parties, bars, restaurants and concerts. His articles are hilarious, tales of nocturnal experience, strange personality, border line people, too many drinks: finally nights are real-life stories and not a cold document copied from a press release. He has contributed to Time Out Milan as Milan correspondent, in the issues of 2004 and 2006, and he's worked for 'Hedonist's guide to Milan' since March 2005, when he met Fleur Britten while he was working to the first edition of the guide.

Sonia Sampat - Hg2 Marrakech
Sonia is works as a consultant based in London, but she's recently purchased a riad to renovate in the medina in Marrakech. She visits Marrakech every month and stays in all the best riad hotels (searching for inspiration and decorating tips) not to mention testing out all the very best restaurants, bars. clubs and shops - many of which are recommended by her new Marrachki friends. Sonia joined the Hg2 updating team in July 2007.
