Barcelona : Sleep

There are no end of fabulous hotels in Barcelona and although style and luxury may be a primary concern, even some of the smallest boutique hotels are both inexpensive and exquisite.

Very few come to Barcelona to spend time in a hotel because, as a city, there is so much to do and see but most provide spas, pools, gorgeous rooms and excellent restaurants. The latter are, apart from very few exceptions, open to the public, often becoming hip hangouts in their own right. Several have Michelin-stars and, as such, have become serious culinary venues and not simply areas to provide a quick meal to hotel guests after a day of sightseeing or before an evening of clubbing. Live music, exceptional cocktails, and some of the best food you can find are often located within the same walls as gorgeous accommodation.

The Hotel Arts, especially, may make you think twice about a day on a tour bus as the finery and luxury available is enough to keep you in your room (or apartment) all day. Personal service, one of the best spas in the world and two of the finest restaurants are only part of what the place has to offer, and to top it off, you are seconds from the beach.

Other more centrally located hotels offer views across the most beautiful of Avenues, the Gothic district and the Roman wall, but whatever you want, the following offers a fantastic blend of locations while offering nothing but the best in chic, stylish relaxation.

Please note that the below rates are the most conservative available – like flights, hotel costs in Barcelona vary from day to day so they are an approximate guide for what you can expect to pay during the off-peak season.
