Palm Beach

Palm Beach was another of the high-end Beirut hotels needing a refit after the assassination of Hariri. Home to the city's hip Sky Bar and across the road from the waterfront deliciousness of La Plage, the Palm Beach is ideally located for any visitor to Beirut to come and play with the glitterati and the jet-set.

Review

The Palm Beach is one of Beirut’s most loved hotels and also one of the most fashionable for the young, jet-setting crowd. Having suffered severe damage after the Hariri bombing in February 2005, it has been completely refurbished and updated.

The 88 rooms are all tastefully decorated, many with four-poster beds and exquisite oriental carpets, and the suites are spacious if a little uniform. The Palm Beach’s location close to Hamra and Downtown is perhaps its biggest selling point, together with the 360-degree views over the sea, the mountains and Beirut from the small, rooftop swimming pool.  to

Adding to the overall feel of exclusivity, the rooftop fills with models and sun worshippers during the day, and party animals at night when the pool and the floor below become the legendary Sky Bar. As one might expect from the demanding clientele, service is impeccable and the Palm Beach has become legendary for its hospitality.
