This elegant and truly exceptional hotel is a tranquil idyll with a city-centre postal code. Combining classical elements with modern design, the turn-of-the-century mansion has a timeless appeal.
Many of the contemporary Bauhaus furnishings have actually been exhibited in New York’s MOMA. Natural oak finishes and simple colour schemes bring instant relaxation and rooms smell wonderfully fresh. The conservatory Wintergarten provides a serene start to the day, while gourmet meals can be enjoyed in the fine dining Quadriga restaurant. Old-school devotees will undoubtedly be drawn to the library and wine cellar – where a resident sommelier offers wine-tastings.
The Thalia beauty suite is small, but masseuse Ellen Brueder is highly respected within the industry. The hotel has a family feel, and guests can expect first-class and individual treatment. No other hotel in Berlin has combined trend and tradition quite so successfully. A highly recommended member of the Relais & Chateaux group.
