Review
Unsurprisingly few visitors end up staying as far from the old city or Beyoğlu as Bebek, the smartest of the village-cum-suburbs along the European shore of the Bosphorus. But if you prefer staying away from the bustle and picking your moments for going into town, then the Bebek Hotel might be for you.
Set up by an ex-silk manufacturer in the 1950s, and completely refurbished in 2002, the 42-room Bebek Hotel is a peach, partly for the quality of its rooms, services, bar and restaurant, but mainly because of its terrific views of the Bosphorus, on whose shore it sits. Indeed, there’s little point in staying here if you don’t get a room with a Bosphorus view.
On a good day the hotel is 15 minutes by taxi from Beyoglu, 30 minutes from Sultanahmet.
