Considering that this hotel is home to one of Madrid’s most revered restaurants, it’s a pretty low-key affair. Certainly nothing to look at from the outside, this three-star hotel doesn’t seem to be worthy of housing the super-stylish El Chaflan restaurant.
Located on a busy road in a nondescript, residential area north of the city, about a 10-minute metro ride from the city centre. It aspires to be a design hotel but doesn’t quite manage it. The rooms, however, are stylish enough, with an unusual cream and cherry red colour scheme. There’s no breakfast room but room service is available.
The real bonus is that room-service lunch, dinner and snacks can also be ordered from El Chaflan. Guests get preferential treatment when it comes to booking a table at the restaurant, however, so it’s worth staying here if you’re a dedicated foodie.
