Bauza Hotel

Calle Goya 79, Salamanca

Bauza Hotel

Pastel lime and berry cushions on cream sofas and beds decorate the airy parquet floored Conranesque rooms and mini apartments on offer. The über-trendy layout is only surpassed by glass fronted restaurant overlooking Madrid's top high street shopping haven - a favourite with the pre-siesta business crowd and chic lunch time shoppers.

One of the few design hotels in Madrid, this sleek, highly fashionable hotel has all the right ingredients – a funky restaurant, a cool, minimalist lobby, a gym, sauna and beautiful staff. It has 177 rooms and suites and seven long-stay apartments, some with large, decked terraces but all decorated in understated, neutral tones.

Rooms also have pay and satellite TV, films and video games, and spacious bathrooms. They’re just made for chilling out, but if you prefer to mingle with other guests, you can relax in the café or curl up with a book in front of the fireplace in the library.

The hotel is located in the busy Goya shopping district in Salamanca, 2 minutes from the Cortes Ingles department store and just a 10-minute stroll from the Retiro Park. The Goya metro, a stone’s throw away, will take you into the city centre in a matter of minutes.
