Billed as Madrid’s first five-star contemporary hotel and a member of the exclusive ‘Leading Hotels of the World’ collection, this hotel set new standards in accommodation in the capital when it opened in 2000.
Located in the financial and diplomatic area and is, on weekdays, mainly a business hotel. The Hesperia's public areas were designed by Pascua Ortega, known for his work in the Teatro Real and the Hotel Adler. The overall look is Oriental chic (feng shui meets cutting-edge design). The 139 rooms and 32 suites are light and spacious, and have all the latest mod-cons and luxuries, including Bvlgari delicacies in the bathroom.
The hotel is home to Santceloni, one of Madrid’s top restaurants, and an intimate Scotch bar serving over 70 single-malt whiskies. Although there are only limited health facilities, guests get free access to the nearby Metropolitan, one of the city’s most prestigious health clubs.
