Review
With such a prime position, on the corner of Plaza de Santa Ana, right in the heart of downtown Madrid and a stone’s throw from some of its best bars and restaurants, it’s no wonder this little gem of a hotel decided to double in size.
It now has 40 rooms, with around half of them having tiny balconies which overlook the Plaza de Santa Ana. Rooms are simple and light, with white walls, shuttered white windows, mint-green bedding, and a large contemporary painting above each bed. Each room has a television with international channels, a small, spotlessly clean bathroom with a shower and good air-conditioning.
There’s a café and restaurant of the same name next door with a popular terrace in the summer. Request a room with a view when you book, or risk getting one of the few rooms that overlook a tiny, shabby courtyard where the laundry is done.
