Review
Darhani is a beautiful, peaceful riad that is located down a maze of alleyways in the medina. The riad is owned by an English couple, who do their utmost to ensure that all services are provided – including leaving the telephone numbers of useful English-speaking Moroccans in each room. The manager of the riad, Sarah, comes regularly to the riad to check that all guests have everything that they need. There are only four bedrooms, which creates a feeling of intimacy.
The rooms are decorated simply yet elegantly, using traditional Moroccan materials in neutral tones with splashes of colour. Modern Moroccan art hangs on the walls and quirky pieces of furniture give the riad a modern funky edge. Bathrooms are made of tadelakt and all come laden with Molton Brown products.
There is a plunge pool in the courtyard and a large tented area on the roof terrace – which is perfect for pre-dinner drinks. Dinner is provided to guests on request and the menu is both varied and comprehensive (they serve both Moroccan and International dishes) and is a delight for vegetarians.
