Review
This is a huge riad in the centre of the medina that has been given a facelift by new owner Sylvie. This is one of the few traditional riads to retain the original structure, features and character of the building.
Effectiively a Moroccan version of an English country house hotel, at Esprit du Maroc the décor sticking to the traditional - from the huge bedrooms with doors leading off to personal bathrooms (which include baths and walk-in showers), to the dressing rooms and private balconies on which you can dine.
There is a split-level roof terrace as well as a traditional hammam and a plunge pool in the courtyard. There are currently six suites, which will be extended to twelve in October 2008. There will also be a larger rooftop swimming pool at that time.
Staff at the riad invisibly cater to your every need. This is a beautiful, traditional, luxurious hotel in a fantastic location and the turquoise suite in particular is a great choice for a romantic weekend away - this will not disappoint.
