Newly opened in 2004, the Clinton is as boutique as they come. Designed by Frenchman Eric Raffi, the hotel features an extraordinary giant lampshade-shaped sofa in its lobby.
Some of the rooms have mini verandas that overlook an enclosed ankle-deep ornamental pool, unique in Miami, while others watch over the courtyard pool area. The en-suite bathrooms all have large windows looking into the bedrooms over the basins so that lovers need not lose eye contact while they floss. Outside, in the slightly cramped courtyard, guests can swim against the tide in the exercise pool or float quietly in a still water pool.
The hotel also offers other services that include guaranteeing entry to all Miami nightclubs, picking up guests’ shopping… and offering ‘dream therapy’ (just push a button on your phone to reach one of the ‘dream specialists’). If you are a shopaholic, like to party and don’t mind a small pool, then the Clinton is the place to be.
