The sister property of London’s famous Soho House, where giants of the journalism world and the boldfaced set mix and mingle away from the maddening crowds, New York’s Soho House is first and foremost a private club, with a sexy rooftop pool deck, a hopping private restaurant that ushers in the who’s-who nightly, a classic game room, private party spots, and a bar room that’s perfect for high-powered flirtation across the arm of its 39-foot Chesterfield sofa.

A reservation at one of the House’s 24 marvelous, loft-style rooms is your ticket in, although the rooms are so chic that you might be hesitant to venture beyond your front door. Expect: brick walls, exposed wood beams, chandeliers, top-tier bedding, the latest in personal entertainment technology, and bath products from Cowshed (the famed British spa, which has an outpost on the property).
