The Axial Beaubourg has been renovated and renamed Duo, so called for its two different styles of room (so make sure you get the receptionist to describe what you’ve booked on the telephone).
Both are stylish, with flat-screen TVs and all the mod-cons you could possibly need; but one has twin beds pushed together, fuchsia bedcovers and headboards, violet-grey carpet and walls, whilst the other has a double bed with leather headboard, two-tone patterned wallpaper, and brown throws, carpet and curtains. The latter is probably a touch trendier. Both are also a good size considering the hotel is in the centre of the Marais.
The communal areas are wonderfully spacious, with oversized designer lampshades hanging from a wooden-beamed ceiling. Fluffy rugs sit under tweed-upholstered armchairs, flat-screen TVs show off video art, and large coffee tables are strewn with newspapers and magazines for your enjoyment. Lovely.
