Le Palais

U Zvonarky 1, Prague

Le Palais

At the far end of Vinohrady, just before you reach the Nusle Valley is the quietly sequestered Le Palais. Opened in 2002 after a extensive reconstruction guests favouring the grand ex-palace are more interested in luxury, seclusion and peace than they are in tearing around the fleshpots of Prague. The overwhelming feeling of serenity pervades and visitors are treated to one of the city's few in-hotel spas, delicious dining and attentive service.

What's Nearby

Le Palais is situated on the edge of Vinohrady with views over the Nusle Valley and Prague's southern suburbs. The only problem with being here is it is actually quite a way outside of the main centre, roughly a 30 minute walk to reach Wenceslas Square, or 5 minutes in a taxi. Prague's taxis are renouned for trying to rip people off, so make sure you carry a  reliable company's number with you.

In the immediate surrounds to the hotel are the quiet residential streets, however, a few good bars and restaurants are beginning to creep into the neighbourhood where you'll experience the real Prague as opposed to the slightly contrived Disney sensation of the Old Town.
