An old palace, on the waterfront, in the Old Town. It's hard to beat the Pachtuv Palace on many levels (unless you are a fan of contemporary minimalism of course). The Old Town offers the most concentrated experience of Prague's charms, every cliché you can think of is found here, from narrow cobbled streets to enigmatic courtyards and stunning architecture. Invariably, this means that it's rammed with tourists, so we recommend detaching yourself from the obvious routes and taking off down some small back streets. Whilst there are some good restaurants in this area, many are tourist traps so consult the guide or head to other parts of town to dine.
