Located literally on one end of Charles Bridge, ‘The Three Ostriches’ is one of Prague’s most blatantly tourist-focused hotels, and you will pay for the privilege of staying here. There are some fantastic suites, which overlook the bridge towards the river.
While this may sound amazing, remember Prague’s nightlife goes on until the early hours and the bridge is popular 24 hours a day, as a route home or a wooing spot for young lovers, so it can be noisy. The rooms to the rear are quieter, but not desperately inspiring, nor in the same league as the suites.
A decent restaurant lurks beneath the hotel, and the staff are friendly. Most rooms retain their historical character, furnished with a mixture of old and new, combining comfort with tradition. A good place to stay if you want to be in the heart of everything.
