The elgantly simple U Raka is a revelation, the country farmhouse style main building with flanking outhouses could, and probably should be, miles away from Prague. Family-owned and run, as soon as one enters the main building the warm glow that infuses it spreads through you and keeps you wanting to stay longer.

This old mill house is tucked away, in a rarely visited and quiet side street, behind the castle. Herein lies the slight disadvantage of staying here, everything is a little bit of a walk away. For those with strong thighs and the need for total rest and relaxation then this will be a great choice. However, those less willing or able to do some walking should be a little wary. There are a few restaurants nearby, but primarily it's the cultural highlights of the Loreta Chapel, the Strahov Monastery and the enormous Castle complex that entice.
