Hidden away in a beautiful, unspoiled section of the city (think stuccoed houses and cobblestone streets), this small, romantic hotel looks astonishingly like a country farmstead, complete with wooden timbers, trickling water and various agricultural knick-knacks.
Embellishing the peaceful atmosphere is the fact that there really is very little in the vicinity to distract you. Rooms are rustic, furnished in an elegant but basic manner, with wrought-iron or heavy wooden beds and country furniture with plain, muted colours.
Natural materials such as wood and stone abound, giving the place a Rousseau-esque ‘back to nature’ feel – an ambience heightened by the small but sensitively landscaped garden areas. Popular with honeymooners and the romantically inclined, it has only one downside: the slight trek to Old Town Square and Staré Mesto.
