Situated just steps from Stureplan, the newly renovated Scandic Anglais moves into the shoes vacated by the (sadly) closed Lydmar. By no stretch of the imagination a boutique hotel, the Scandic Anglais nevertheless has some attractive design touches and a good bar.

After an 18-month renovation, the Scandic Anglais hotel has reopened.
Following the closure of the Lydmar, the Anglais is the most centrally located hotel for anyone wanting to explore Stockholm nightlife, which revolves around Stureplan, approximately 30 seconds from the hotel’s door.
During the renovation a whole new floor was added, as well as a rooftop terrace, and now has 233 rooms. It will never be the most fashionable hotel in town, but there are nice touches – like Egg chairs and a wire-frame moose in the lobby – and bedrooms are comfortable. Be sure to get one with a view over Humlegården park.
