Most courses are demonstration only, plus a few hands-on classes. For instant gratification, its café serves fresh international meals, and for swots, books galore.

West London Shooting School
If you're following our advice and heading to Buenos Aires, shooting enthusiasts should make time for a day or several of sport. Avid shots will know about Argentina's prestigious reputation as the world's finest dove-shooting destination, but it also has some excellent duck, red stag and wild bore shooting. If you are venturing into this citadel of sporting prowess, you'll probably want to get your eye in - always a good idea, even if you are venturing no further afield than the English countryside. We highly recommend private lessons at the West London Shooting school, instructors take you (either individually or as a pair) through the grounds, taking you through different types of shot and gently pointing out room for improvement. It's also excellent fun for beginners. Lessons start from £65 per person.

We've finally come of age. Or at least it feels that way. There's something pretty pivotal about reaching the stage of life where a post-prandial cigar seems like a good idea - and on holiday it becomes essential. Now our poison has moved upmarket, we want to make sure that the Havanas arrive travel in style, hence a recent obsession with finding the perfect travel humidor.
