Mozambique

As you might have guessed from the abscence of last week's 'We Love' I have been on holiday - in Mozambique. What a beautiful country - the Bazaruto archipelago is stunning with exceptional fishing, diving and sun drenched white sand on which to lie and tan yourself elegantly. At the centre of all this is Marlin Lodge - a set of 16 cabins ranging from the classic to the luxurious - you have to go for the executive suites (ignore the name) - almost 100 sq m of bed room with a terrace over looking the azure blue bay. Snorkel with turtles, dive with whale sharks, collect cowries on the beach, fish for marlin or just eat and drink yourself to a standstill. When I made it back to the UK i was so relaxed I had totally forgotten how to use the tube.

An intimately exclusive gem from Olga Polizzi

Endsleigh Hotel is the new jewel in the crown of Olga Polizzi's burgeoning hotel empire (she also owns The Tresanton, Cornwall). Set in 108 acres of stunning woodland on the Devon/Cornwall border, Endsleigh was originally a Regency game lodge, and until recently the home of a fishing club. The immaculate restoration and decoration has created 16 beautiful and comfortable guest rooms, a fabulous restaurant and the intimate exclusivity now sadly lacking in many of Britain's grand country house hotels. Eight miles of the best Salmon and Sea Trout fishing in the Westcountry is just an added bonus.

Holiday in Cornwall's forgotten corner

Four wonderful houses situated in a quiet and 'forgotten' corner of Cornwall, all with stunning views of the rolling Cornish landscape or out over the sparkling water of the river Lynher. Antony Estate is located on the Rame Peninsula, just a few miles, as the crow flies, from Plymouth and within easy reach of surfing on both coasts and the Eden Project. The houses sleep between 8 and 12 and a week's stay includes a range of services, from chefs on demand and a wine cellar to a concierge service and daily breakfast deliveries - all on request.

Polar Bear Migration

Travel to the remote western coast of Canada for an incredible wildlife experience. In the autumn, the tundra surrounding the town of Churchill becomes a stopover for more than one thousand polar bears on their annual migration, making the town the ‘Polar Bear Capital of the World’. For just one month each year, from mid-October to mid-November, the bears congregate, waiting for the ice to form so that they can move out into the frozen bay where they will spend the winter hunting seals. For those few short weeks, there is no other place on Earth where polar bears can be seen in such concentrations and at such close range.
